THE BEGINNING

Neblina is an alternative rock / metal band from Angola formed in 2001. Their sound is based on a mellow aggressive contrast with dark ambient surrounding the mystery of the lyrics. The name of the band means Fog in Portuguese and has all to do with the band. Fog is similar to mist and by playing with the words, we get Myst(erious), Mist(ic) that are some of the elements present in the essence of the metal scene. Just like the fog in your dreams! It shows a similar based effect by taking you in a trip to your own subconsciousness where all the secrets of the mind are laid but remain hidden for further exploration just like the real fog.

Between the year 2001 and 2007 it went through several lineup changes but Mauro Neb and Michel Fio still together since its original formation. It has gone through numerous guitarists and drummers (Jair Amed, Dário Henriques, Beto Constantino, Xamber Figueiredo, Tokess) and it was by that time that they recorded their first album “Innocence Falls in Decay” recorded by Kriativa Studios was released in January 2006 and happened to be the first rock genre album ever presented to the Angolan Music Hall.

The band reached stability when Thiago (drummer) comes from Zimbabwe and joined the team in 2007. NEBLINA is now a 3 piece band after the last Bass Guitarist named Bocolo leave the band for personal reasons, leaving Mauro, Thiago and Michel rocking out.

NEBLINA is now finalizing the recording of their new album Named “ The Untold” which is expected to be launched very soon.
